Dr Stef Kouvaras achieved her undergraduate degree in Psychology (BA) at the University of Sheffield.

Dr Stef Kouvaras achieved her undergraduate degree in Psychology (BA) at the University of Sheffield. She then completed her Masters degree in Mental Health Studies at King’s College London. Dr Stef then went on to complete her Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and Foundation in Systemic Principles at Salomons Institute for Applied Psychology, Canterbury Christ Church University in 2020.
Dr Stef has worked in health care for over 15 years working with people across the age span. After clinical training she specialised in working with children, young people and families and currently works part time in the NHS in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) as a Professional Lead for Psychology. Dr Stef has also been working in private practice since 2020 working with children, young people and adults. She has a special interest in attachment, trauma and neurodiversity and is currently training to use the ADHD Clinical Evaluation (ACE) for conducting ADHD assessments.
Dr Stef adopts an integrative approach and draws from a range of psychological models including, Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). Dr Stef also incorporates systemic principles into her work and works closely with parents, families and wider networks which she feels is vital in ensuring the network is supported as a whole.
